Day 4 Thangthangka - Jangothang
Day 5 Jangothang - Halt (Base Camp)
Day 6 Jangothang - Dumzo via Bongte la 4890m
Day 7 Dumzo - Thombu Shong
Day 8 Thombu Shong - Shana Zampa - trek ends and drive to Thimphu
Day 9 Thimphu - Thimphu
Day 10 Thimphu - Punakha
Day 11 Punakha - Punakha (optional day)
Day 12 Punakha - Paro
Day 13 Paro - Departure.
Day 1-2: You will be welcome by the team from Bhutan Thori tour at the international airport of Bhutan, after that check in the lodge at Paro, after lunch visit local places around Paro. The next day you will do an acclimation hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which was founded in 8th Century by the tantric master. After the hike if time permits visit local farm house at Paro. Overnight Resort/ Hotel Paro
Day 3-8: (trek day 1) Your trek starts from Shana Zampa, after early breakfast drive about 45 min from your hotel to the starting point of your trek near the Army base camp. 13km trekking. Distance 11 to 12 hrs trek. Campsite site altitude 3750m/12303 FT.
(trek day 2) Early morning from your campsite you will get a view of Mt Jumolhari, After the breakfast your trek continues to the base camp crossing an army camp. Takes about 4 hours to reach the campsite at base camp. Campsite altitude, 4050m/13287FT.
(trek day 3) Today is a relaxing day for you to enjoy the view of the base camp, after the breakfast if you wish you may walk around the base camp to visit the house of the nomadic people or you may hike up the hill to get further view of Mt Jumolhari glacier or hike to Jidchu Darkey. Campsite at the Base camp.
(trek day 4) Today is a challenging day, as you will make the cross to the twin lake known as Tshophu Lake, after crossing the twin lake gradually you will be climbing up to Bongteyla 4890m/16043FT. your campsite is 3800m/12468FT.
(trek day 5) After the breakfast gradually, you will be reaching to Thombula at 4520m/14829Ft and finally you will be at your last night camp at Thombu Shong. Campsite at 4180m/13713FT.
(trek day 6) Today it is easy day of the trek with less climb but after one hour from your camp site then you will be trekking downhill until you meet with your car, and to the place where you have started your trek at the Army camp. After the trek you will bid a farewell to your trekking crew and you will be driving back to the capital city of Bhutan, Thimphu. Overnight Resort/Hotel Thimphu.
Day 9-10: Morning hike from Buddha to Changangkha taking about 3-hours, where you will get a grand view of the capital city of Bhutan, after lunch visit local places around Thimphu. Overnight Resort/Hotel Thimphu. The following day drive to Punakha, on the way stop at Dochula Pass. After the taking in the views, hike 4 hours to Lungchuzey monastery through a Rhododendron forest. After the hike drive to Punakha. Overnight Resort/Hotel Punakha.
Day 11 (optional): Morning hike from Talo to Punakha Dzong, after the lunch hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal through rice fields. Overnight Resort/Hotel Punakha.
Day 12-13: Drive back to Paro, after lunch visit Dzong Drakha monastery and take a short hike from the monastery to the village. Overnight Resort/Hotel Paro. On the final day, our team will transfer you to the international airport for your departure.
